One good move deserves a reply. Odin's Checkers brings classic checkers, online rivalry, and twelve world traditions to a board of wood and gold. Challenge a friend, take your time between turns, or find your level against the computer.

PLAY TOGETHER, YOUR WAY

- Live online: challenge a friend and trade moves in real time.
- Turn-based online: take your turn when it suits you, without needing to be online together.
- Nearby: connect on separate devices and play someone in the room.
- Pass & Play: share one screen and take turns.

Online matches use Game Center. Play solo or locally without a Game Center account.

YOUR GAME, AND A WORLD BEYOND IT

Start with the rules you know, then discover another tradition. Choose English draughts, International, Brazilian, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Thai, Canadian (Dam Haji), Turkish, Greek, or Giveaway.

These are different ways to play, not just different-looking boards. Explore 8×8, 10×10, and 12×12 games, flying kings where the rules allow them, and the sideways moves of Turkish and Greek dama. In Giveaway, losing your pieces is the goal.

FIND YOUR CHALLENGE

Choose Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert. Learn a new tradition at your own pace, then raise the difficulty when you want a tougher opponent.

Want a nudge? Turn on the coach for a highlighted move. Undo during local play lets you try another approach. When a game ends, Replay lets you revisit it move by move and see where the position changed.

KEEP THE RIVALRY GOING

Earn XP in qualifying solo and multiplayer games, climb from Wanderer toward Grand King, and pursue 28 achievements and 17 Game Center leaderboards. Online rematches let you start the next round; draw offers give both players a say in how a close contest ends.

MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER ROUND

Keep up to six local games, saved as you play. Rename them and return to an unfinished match. iCloud keeps your saved games and records in sync across your devices.

English draughts includes house-rule options for forced captures and flying kings, and Giveaway lets you switch flying kings too. Other traditions retain the rules that define them.

ONE PURCHASE, YOUR APPLE DEVICES

Play on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and Mac. Support for 50 languages, VoiceOver, and Reduce Motion helps more people find a place at the board.

No subscriptions or in-app purchases. No third-party ads or tracking. We may show you our other games.

Choose your tradition. Bring a rival. See who wants the rematch.

What’s new in version 2.6.0

Fixes:
• Online: an agreed draw now shows as a draw on both devices — the player who didn't end the game could be shown a loss — and it reaches them sooner.
• Online: a draw offer taken back with a move now says it was withdrawn.
• Live Match: once an opponent is found, the screen says "Opponent found — connecting…".
• Invite a Friend now lets you choose a live or a turn-based game.
• Nearby: the invitation names the House Rules you'll play, and long device names wrap instead of being cut off.
• House Rules and World of Checkers now say exactly what the rules do — a multi-jump you start is still played to the end, and Giveaway lets you switch flying kings too.
• The forced-capture tip no longer points to House Rules in a game where they can't be changed.
• How to Play's Controls card now matches your device.
• Apple TV: House Rules fits on the screen.
• iPhone: late in a game, the player cards no longer run off the edge in some languages.
• A long saved-game name wraps instead of being cut off.
• Mac: ⌘? now opens How to Play inside a game too, and the Help menu holds How to Play and the Video Instructions.

Video Instructions: a short captioned lesson played on the real board — the basics, House Rules, the World of Checkers and the ways to play. Open it from the main menu, from any How to Play page, or on the Mac from the Help menu.

Canadian Draughts is now "Canadian Draughts · Dam Haji": Malaysia and Singapore know the same wide board as Dam Haji.

With Differentiate Without Color on, one side's pieces carry a mark in the game, so the two sides never rely on color alone.

The results card's "Return to Main Menu" is now a proper button, and the app opens with a short film.
